3 Uses of Pedometers

Pedometers are a small but very powerful device in terms of use. It’s getting more popular recently as people are increasingly realizing how easy it is to stay fit with this small wearable device. Pedometers are now available in almost every sporting-goods store in a wide range of sizes and shapes. The main purpose of this device is to count steps an individual takes. However, now people are utilizing it in a number of different ways such as:
- People are measuring distance with pedometers. It is helping marathon runners for training purposes.
- The device is also being used for the measurement of calories burned during exercise. However, correct information about weight is necessary to accurately measure the amount of calories burned.
- Pedometers keep track of time the user spending on exercise. It starts counting time automatically when the user starts to move and likewise stops automatically as well when the user stops his/her movement.
